Test Realm: Ahmarra Update!
October 21, 2026
New World: Ahmarra!
The future is unseen.
Miranda Briar has hidden herself from Bartleby and only the Wizard can hope to track her down. Venture to the seas of Ahmarra, a world only whispered in legends and steeped in myths as old as the Spiral. Plumb its watery depths in search of hidden secrets and ancient truths. A word of warning, Wizards: beware what lurks in these forgotten depths...
Along with the world of Ahmarra players can expect numerous improvements and highly requested player features. Improvements to Fishing, Beastmoon, Raids, Pets and more await!
Ahmarra Music: The music currently in Ahmarra Test Realm is all placeholder. We are using pre-existing Wizard music from previous worlds throughout this world until we reveal final music soon. Nelson Everheart is hard at work!

Ahmarra Spells
A new world means new magic! Each School can unlock a powerful new spell in Ahmarra, requiring 7 Pips and a School Pip.
These spells hit all enemies and can be upgraded with Spellements along two different paths. The top paths focus on straightforward power, while the bottom paths trade some of that power for more advanced effects and interactions with the Magic Wheel.

Ahmarra Fishing & Fishing Improvements
Avast matey! Strange new fish have appeared in Ahmarra, and you’ll need some new Fishing Spells to help reel them in!
New Fishing Spells
Rank 4 Fishing Lures – New lures that help catch Rank 4 Fish.
Winnow Rank 4 – Scares away all Fish except Rank 4 Fish.
Camouflage – Makes you less noticeable to Fish, allowing you to get closer without scaring them away.
Highlight – Makes Fish easier to spot when they blend into the water or lava.
Summon and Winnow Rank 4 – Summons a new pond of Fish, then scares away everything except Rank 4 Fish.
Fishing Improvements
We’ve also made several improvements to make Fishing smoother and more enjoyable:
Reduced the timing difference between Sentinel Fish and standard Fish.
Widened the range at which Fish can detect Fishing Lures.
Sped up the Fishing Lure casting animation.

Endgame Loot Updates
In Ahmarra, we’re trying a new approach to endgame loot with the goal of making boss drops feel exciting and rewarding while still protecting players from extended runs of bad luck.
In recent worlds, endgame bosses could drop their gear directly, while each victory also awarded a reagent that could eventually be exchanged for the item you wanted. For Ahmarra, we’re putting more emphasis back on earning major gear from the bosses themselves.
Hats, Robes, Shoes, and Wands will drop from Ahmarra’s final bosses.
Repeated victories will improve your odds of seeing the gear you’re after, with an eventual guaranteed drop.
Amulets, Athames, Decks, and Rings have been moved to Crafting.
These recipes require Level 190, but otherwise have no additional restrictions.
Some of these items may turn up in unexpected places.
We’re testing this new loot structure in Ahmarra and may expand it to other worlds in future updates. Please give it a try on Test Realm and let us know how the boss drops and split between boss loot and Crafting feel.
Mount Enchantment Swapping
Mounts have always been more than just a way to get around the Spiral. Some mounts come with useful stats and set bonuses in addition to their speed and passenger capacity, but until now, those bonuses have been permanently tied to the mount they came with. We've come up with a new term for these bonuses on Mounts: Enchantments.
Want the stats from one mount but prefer the look of another? Never fear! Zeke is here! Zeke has learned the power to swap Enchantments from one Mount to another. Bring Zeke both your enchanted Mount and your non-enchanted Mount, and with a little magic and a handful of Crowns, he will swap the Enchantment between the two!
Note: Zeke can only swap Enchantments. Mount speed and passenger count are not enchantments and thus cannot be swapped.

Pet Improvements
To make Pet Hatching less confusing, we’re adding some additional information about pets to the pet page of your backpack and to the pet hatching window.
Wow Factor controls the chances that you will get a particular pet body when you hatch a pet. Very common pets have a Wow Factor of 1. Really exceptional pets have a Wow Factor of 10.
Exclusive Pets are pets that you will only get from a hatch if you already have had that type of pet.
Unhatchable Pets are pets that will never produce a child of their type.
An icon is now displayed if a pet may produce Hybrid Pets.
When you hatch a pet in person or in the Pet Hatching Kiosk, we will now warn you:
If you are hatching with an Exclusive Pet.
If you are hatching with an Unhatchable Pet.
If you are hatching with a pet that you won’t be able to equip.
Exclusive Pets and Unhatchable Pets are now sorted into their own tab in the Pet Hatching Kiosk.

Raid Visitors
Need a few more Wizards to fill out your Raid team? Guild Visitors can now be invited to join your Raid!
When starting a Guild Open House, you can add a Raid icon to your listing to let other players know you’re planning to Raid.
Guild Leaders, Lieutenants, and Key Masters can use a new button in the Guild tab of the Social Window to promote Guild Visitors to Raid Visitors.
Once promoted, a player’s name tag will change from Guild Visitor to Raid Visitor.
Each Guild Open House can have up to 6 Raid Visitors.

Custom Keybinding
Tired of pressing X to interact? Are the keys for auto-run too inconvenient? Keybinding allows players to allocate their buttons to their preferences! Now you truly do control the buttons you press!
NOTE: Not all categories and input names are final. We’re looking for feedback on how to better categorize different controls together. Please leave your feedback in the Discord.
Keybinding also comes with the very first scroll bar added to Wizard101! Please give us all of your feedback on this new UI component during Test Realm.

Card Frame Update: Spell Restrictions
A long-awaited change, improving the visual language for where and when your spells can be used!
Knowing where a spell can be used is essential for making informed decisions about it, from choosing what to put in your deck to deciding which spells to train or upgrade. As content became more diverse, the "No PvP" symbol could no longer adequately communicate these restrictions. We needed a more sustainable solution to display when and where spells can be used.
We understand visual changes to the spell card design are delicate! We worked hard with our user experience experts on a design that fit the informational needs of the system, was easily scannable, and would blend with the existing card design without covering up other important information or visuals. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect:
This element is part of the spell frame, matching school or card type as an inherent part of the card’s information.
Content type and content level, both referring to where the spell can be used, are now conveyed in the same spot on the card.
The flag points to icons representing content types the spell is usable in (Standard, Advanced, or both). Note this is now inclusive, as opposed to the previously exclusive system, more appropriately matching other information on the spell card.
The number is the level at which that content must be for the spell to be usable in content where level restrictions apply.
The content icons represent visible references in game to help new players learn their meaning. Advanced content is a composite of the current PvP and Challenge Encounter icon, and we intend to apply the new Standard icon in suitable spaces.
Level restriction rules remain as current. Level restrictions only apply when entering Advanced Content or Standard activities where your wizard is Level Scaled.

Beastmoon Beastform Updates
We’ve made a major balance pass across Beastmoon Beastforms to make their stats, spells, and School identities more consistent.
When we first shared our plans for these updates, the Beastmoon community had a lot to say! That feedback helped shape the direction of the redesign, and we continued gathering feedback as each Beastform was updated and refined. As a result, some of these changes have evolved quite a bit from what we originally discussed.
TEST REALM NOTE: We’d love to keep that feedback coming. The changes below are only the highlights of the Beastform update, not a complete list of every adjustment. With every form receiving changes, the best way to see how they feel is to jump into Beastmoon, try them out, and let us know what you think!
Beastform Balance
Spell values have been rebalanced across all Beastforms using a more consistent framework based on each form’s School, size, and role.
Beastform Health has increased to compensate for increases in spell damage. Battles should still have a similar overall pace, but both Health and the numbers on your spells will be larger.
Ice has moved into the higher-value, lower-Health group of Schools, leaving Life as the School with the highest-Health Beastforms.
All Beastforms now start with 1 Pip.
More Consistent Spell Decks
Every Beastform has received a review of its spell deck and progression.
Every Beastform now has at least one spell that can be used without meeting an additional condition, available from Tier 1.
Every Beastform also has more access to 0 and 1 Pip spells, including multiple low-cost options at earlier Tiers. With every turn becoming more important, this should give forms more opportunities to contribute instead of being left without a spell they can cast.
Magic Wheel Updates
Beastform spells have been updated to more consistently follow the Magic Wheel, giving each School clearer strengths, counters, and opportunities to work with other Schools.
Beastforms now more consistently create and counter the effects associated with their School.
More effects can now be both countered and synergized with, including Taunt, Pacify, Minions, Helpful and Harmful Afterlife effects, and Helpful and Harmful Auras.
Balance Beastforms have received a larger consistency pass, with more defined interactions using Echoes, Swaps, removal, and synergies between effects.
Spell Cleanup
We’ve also cleaned up several Beastmoon spell mechanics:
Stun, Dispel, and Mantle have been removed from Beastform spells. These effects can cause another player to lose their turn entirely, which is especially punishing in Beastmoon’s short battles and leaves less room for players to respond strategically.
When non-Balance Beastforms remove hanging effects, they now also remove any Protection on those effects. Protection is still useful when using Swap effects.
Several spell visuals have been updated to make Beastmoon spells easier to distinguish from one another.
Beastmoon Calendar

Lemuria Reagent Audit
The Reagent and Chest audit has been extended to Lemuria! You'll now find Cantrip Chests and faster spawning reagents in Lemuria, along with the new Old One's Data reagent.
Group Support (Experimental)
We’ve been experimenting with a feature that helps players in a group stick together. Please try it out and tell us what you think.
When you’re in a group, a Group button appears in the lower left corner, near the Pet button.
There is a button to open and close the group roster.
If you are the group leader, there is a button to summon the players in the group to your position. Each player is asked if they want to teleport to you.
If you aren’t the group leader, there is a button to teleport you to the group leader.
If you aren’t the group leader, there is a button to follow the group leader.
In the group page of the Social Window, the current group leader can make another player in the group the leader.

PvP Updates
Castle Magic Spells have been added to apply the rules from the PvP leagues to Roland Silverheart. You can now purchase them and apply them to dueling sigils in your homes.
Level 180 PvP-only sets have been added to Marco Artigiano. These will be replaced with PvP-only variants of the 190 sets over time as the year proceeds. As a result, some of Marco’s previous offerings have moved to Jordo Mistborn. The non-templated gear and PvP Trading now reside on Jordo.
A new Treasure Card has been added to Jordo as well. Double Lash can now be found on Jordo Mistborn, Duella, and Madam Magda.

Crown Shop Changes
Housing Items
Over time, the housing item section of the Crown Shop has become ‘cluttered’ for lack of a better word. The long lists of older items and bundles have created a harder than necessary Crown Shop experience. As we go forward, we want to bring players a Crown Shop experience that is easier to navigate and will give us the best opportunity to make newer and better offerings. We also understand the frustration players feel when buying something for Crowns only to realize later it is also available for gold. In an effort to remedy this, many furniture sets and individual furniture items have been removed from the Crown Shop and will not return. All items affected have been given a gold price and will be available for sale at various NPC housing vendors across the Spiral. The relocation of items will help improve the player experience and allow us to develop more impressive housing item offers in the future.
During this process, we also decided to give some additional benefits to these items to make player interaction with them more enjoyable. All school and world furniture set items can now be purchased in individual quantities. Affected items will also now be auctionable and available to be placed in the Bazaar. This is to help compensate for their new locations not being as accessible as the Crown Shop.
Some Crown Shop bundles have also been affected by these changes. All bundles including these items have been reviewed. If they return to the Crown Shop, their prices will be adjusted to reflect that the included items no longer have a Crowns value.
FAQ
Where can I purchase the affected items in the game?
Affected housing items are now sold by NPC housing and furniture vendors throughout the Spiral. Refer to the list below to find each item’s new vendor.
Why was each item assigned to a particular housing vendor?
Each affected item was assigned to a vendor that best matched its theme and practical placement.
How was the gold price per item determined?
For individual items, the gold prices remain the same as they were in the Crown Shop.
For world and school furniture set items, size, detail, and overall set gold price were factored into the final pricing.
What if I have not progressed far enough in the story to access an item’s housing vendor?
We considered this concern when making these changes. To improve access, all affected items are now auctionable and can be bought and sold in the Bazaar in Olde Town.
Can I receive compensation or a refund if I previously purchased one of these items with Crowns?
Because these items were available for Gold and Crowns simultaneously, refunds are generally not available. Contact Customer Support if you believe your situation may qualify as an exception or is more specific.
How will these changes affect bundles and offers that include the affected items?
All bundles containing affected items are being reviewed. If they return to the Crown Shop, their prices will be adjusted to reflect that the included items no longer have a Crowns value.
